The New Week Seven Greetings

Welcome to Week Seven. 

This short video offers information about this week's reading assignments; you have no new writing assignment this week, so take the time to work on your final writing assignment and on revisions. 

This new video goes over the final assignment for the term, your short report and the technical requirement.  You will make use of the blog page to organize your final project, links, statistics, and short video--you will publish your paper and video for your fellow writers to see:

New Week Six

As this week's announcement indicates, the new edition of our text makes some changes in vocabulary that might confuse, especially when you listen to last year's greeting for Week Six.

But as I indicate in the new video at the end of this posting , you should give last year's greeting your close attention.

You have a brief writing assignment this week and two

discussion threads: remember that you do not want to wait until Saturday or Sunday to post, for not much discussion takes place at that late time of the week. Get to both threads early in the week, especially as this week's reading assignments cover only two new chapters.

And you have a quiz this week, part of it review; give the video from last term a look and do a good job.

Week Five Rushes Up



Hello One and All,

We begin the slide--on a slippery slope, indeed, given the prevailing weather here in Peru--to the term's conclusion.



This week, again, you have three videos. At the conclusion of this message, you will find a brief (twenty minutes) video of greeting in which I go over this week's assignments and offer some particulars about the final projects.

The video offers, in addition, some guidelines about collaboration that you can begin with this week's writing assignment and the initial proposal for your final project you will share with everyone by the week's conclusion.

Make sure to watch last year's greeting and the quiz review.

Remember: last year's greetings, as was the case with the previous week's video, does not address the same writing assignment: things changed.

This year another new edition came out, and I have worked to keep up with the changes in pagination and reading material.


So, for that specific information, read carefully this week's reading and writing assignments and watch the video at the conclusion of this introduction.


You have two engaging discussion threads this week, one of which asks that you work on and share a resume--and on the the other, you will offer in addition to doing some on-line research a brief proposal for your final project.

Hello Everyone,

We reach the half-way mark in this class--congratulations to one and all for your continued hard work.

Here you will find twenty questions that cover Chapters 11, 12, and 13; questions for Chapter 14 will appear on next week's quiz. And a couple questions refer to the important issues covered in Chapter 10, concerns you will continue to address in all your class work..

Listen carefully to the discussion, for I do touch on every question and want each of you to do a good job. And a couple questions refer to matters related to what the text has to say and to which I add a couple things.


I will hope that snow does not assault with great vengeance the area over the next three or four days.

Do a good job on the quiz, Bill
